Cameron Norrie vs Lorenzo Sonego Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

It's an important tournament in Indian Wells for the 28th seed Cameron Norrie. He takes on unseeded Lorenzo Sonego in round two of this outdoor hard court Masters 1000 event. The British number one has a great record in Indian Wells winning the title in 2021 and making it to the last eight in the last two years. That means lots of points to defend and he's down to 34th in the live rankings. A loss here would put pressure on him to be seeded at Roland Garros. Norrie has reached a quarter final in Auckland on hard courts, losing to eventual winner Alejandro Tabilo. He then made it to the last 16 of the Australian Open with a good win over Casper Ruud. Recently he's been playing on clay in South America and got to the last four in Rio. The winner of this match will face either Gael Monfils or eighth seeded Hubert Hurkacz in the last 32.

It's not been such a good year for Lorenzo Sonego. It began badly wih both of his singles matches being lost in the United Cup. The last 16 was reached in Adelaide but the Italian lost in round two of the Australian Open, being beaten by Carlos Alcaraz. His poor run continued with him losing in his first match in both Rotterdam and Doha. He finally got a win in Dubai but then lost to Daniil Medvedev in three sets. Sonego beat Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets in round one of this tournament. A win here would take him into the third round at Indian Wells for the first time. We don't believe that will happen though and tip Norrie to win.
