Bottom-place Blue Bulls host sixth-place Airlink Pumas in this 2026 Currie Cup Round 4 clash on Saturday at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Bulls have lost all three of their opening matches in the competition and face another daunting challenge against a Pumas side that has been more competitive and has won both of their last two Currie Cup visits to the Bulls. Hence, our prediction favouring the away team.

Blue Bulls’ underwhelming start to their 2026 Currie Cup campaign continued last weekend against Fidelity ADT Lions. They trailed by 28 unanswered points at the break before collapsing to a heavy 42–19 defeat. 

That result left them bottom of the standings with just one point and still searching for their first win after losing each of their three opening matches. They have now lost seven of their last eight Currie Cup games since last season, six of those by heavy margins.

Airlink Pumas ended their winless start to the competition in style last weekend, as they held firm to defeat Boland Kavaliers 20–15 at Boland Stadium. Nevaldo Fleurs starred for the visitors, scoring 15 of the 20 points to hand the Kavaliers their first defeat in the competition and end the hosts’ five-match winning streak at home. They have won their last two away matches against Blue Bulls.
