The final match of round seven in the 2025 Currie Cup will come from Loftus Versfeld, where the Blue Bulls will be playing host to the Cheetahs on Saturday. The Bulls and Cheetahs are sixth and fourth in the standings, respectively. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Blue Bulls will be featuring in the 2025 Currie Cup for the final time this weekend. With 10 points after six games, they are out of contention to qualify for the next round. 

They will enter this match off the back of a 44-5 drubbing at the hands of the Lions last week. They are now on a four-match losing streak in this competition. 

The hosts have won one and lost two of their home games this season, but they did beat this opponent 25-13 at this venue last year. 

Meanwhile, it’s crunch time for the Cheetahs. They are in fourth place, level on points with the Lions (21) and just one above the fifth-placed Pumas heading into the final week. 

The Free State side have four wins and two defeats this year, but they will need a better performance here than they managed last week at home when they were beaten 40-10 by Griquas.  

The visitors have split their two away games this season, one win and one defeat - both matches were decided by two points.
