Brentford host Newcastle United as they attempt to continue their unbeaten home league record. The Bees are ninth in the Premier League, one place above their opponents but only on goal difference. It would be a much wider gap if Brentford didn't have such appalling away league form. They have the best home record in the Premier League with 19 points from their seven games. However, on the road just one point has been earned and they lost 3-1 at Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Newcastle United led and trailed against league leaders Liverpool on Wednesday. They ended up drawing the game 3-3 and we could well be in for lots more goals being scored in this game. The Magpies will meet Brentford twice this month as they meet later this month in the Carabao Cup but at home. Before then, they have this away league fixture and really need to start getting some wins in the Premier League. Read our match prediction.

Brentford - Newcastle: Form Analysis
Brentford really are a Jekyll and Hyde side. They have been in excellent form at home in the Premier League this season but only Southampton have a worse away record than the Bees. They are only two points behind the top six and six points adrift of the Champions League positions. but unless they vastly improve their away record, there seems little hope of European football next season.
Home form has seen them win six of their league games with the other drawn. 22 league goals have been scored, five more than any other side in the league. However, 12 goals have been conceded and only three teams have let in more on home soil.
Over 2.5 goals have been scored in seven of their last eight home league games. That stat has come up in all but three of their last 16 Premier League matches.
United have to start winning more on the road.
Newcastle United are only behind their opponents on goal difference. The Magpies have failed to win any of their last three league matches with the last two being drawn. They conceded a late goal at Palace last weekend to draw 1-1. The boot was on the other foot on Wednesday though when a last-gasp goal earned them a 3-3 draw at home to Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Only one of their last five away league games has been won with over 2.5 goals in seven of the last ten.

Brentford & Newcastle Squad Analysis
Brentford suffered another away loss on Wednesday at Aston VIlla. They were without Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen for that match and both are doubtful for this weekend home fixture against Newcastle United.
There will also be late fitness tests to determine whether Gustavo Nunes and Kristoffer Ajer can play. Definitely out of this home Premier League match are Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey and Josh Dasilva. With a hectic set of fixtures at present, some squad rotation may take place.
Trippier is still on the absentee list.
Kieran Trippier missed Wednesday's game due to illness and he remains a doubt for this game. United will continue to be missing Sven Botma, Jamaal Lascelles and Emil Krafth. Harvey Barnes could get a recall and if there is rotation, Joe Willcock and Sean Longstaff may start.
Alexander Isak was again on target for Newcastle in their 3-3 home draw with Liverpool. He had been an injury doubt for that match but seemed to get through the game ok. Callum Wilson remains on the bench for the Magpies.

Our Brentford vs Newcastle Prediction
A Brentford home league game usually means plenty of goals being scored. That looks very much like what lies ahead of us this weekend as the Bees host Newcastle United. If only Brentford could get some away results then heaven knows what they might achieve.
Newcastle United also struggle for away wins with only two of their seven in this season's Premier League being won. Three of the last four games between these sides have had over 2.5 goals scored in them. Our main Brentford v Newcastle prediction is over 2.5 goals to be scored.
