Pool 1 of the EPCR Challenge Cup will see Aviron Bayonne host South Africa's Cheetahs. Bayonne are fifth in Top 14 this season and all three of their home league fixtures have ended in victory. With home advantage here, our prediction is Aviron Bayonne wins.

Aviron Bayonne finished just a place above the relegation zone in Top 14 last season. They have made a much better start to the new season and have won four of their opening six games, losing the other two. That has left them fifth and seven points behind the league leaders Stade Toulousain.
Both of their defeats have been on their travels. They have won all three of their home fixtures with victories over RC Toulon, Clermont and Stade Francais Paris.
Cheetahs will be aiming to do much better than they did in last season's Challenge Cup. They finished bottom of their pool, losing all four of their matches with a -84 points difference.
This season, the South African club finished second in the Currie Cup and were then beaten in the semi-finals.
They have lost their last two matches, most recently, a home loss to Pumas.
