Alexander Zverev vs Karen Khachanov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Miami

Former finalist Alexander Zverev takes on 15th seed Karen Khachanov in the last 16 of the Miami Open. The winner will face either unseeded Fabian Marozsan or the ninth seed Alex de Minaur in the quarter finals. Zverev is the fourth seed in this Masters 1000 outdoor hard court tournament. The German is ranked fifth in the world but is a place higher in the ATP Live Race. It's six years since he reached the final of this tournament. This year has seen him lift the United Cup with Germany and the last four in both the Australian Open and in Los Cabos, all played on outdoor hard courts. So far in Miami, Zverev has beaten Felix Auger-Aliassime and 31st seed Christopher Eubanks without dropping a set. He's played Khachanov on five previous occasions and leads him 3-2. It's three years since their last meeting when Zverev beat Khachanov to win the Olympic Gold Medal. They are 1-1 in outdoor hard court matches.

Karen Khacanov reached the semi-finals of this tournament last year. He's 16th in the world rankings but a place lower in the live list. In the ATP Live Race, the Russian is 17th but a win over Zverev can take him up a couple of places. He's won one title this year, being victorious in Doha. In Miami, he's beaten Laslo Djere in straight sets but then had to go a deciding set to get past the 20th seed Francisco Cerundolo. That didn't look likely after winning the first set for the loss of just one game. Cerundolo won the second 7-5 and Khachanov had to go to a tie-break in the third to win the match. We tip Zverev to win this and reach the quarter final.
