Adam Walton lost in the first qualifying round of this Masters tournament last year but is 88th in the live rankings and automatically qualified. The 26-year-old has won 27 of his 42 hard court matches this year and he recently made it to the last four in Los Cabos.

That was a welcome return to form as three of his previous four hard court matches had been lost.

Benjamin Bonzi has been struggling for consistency this year. He has a 15-18 record on all surfaces and is 10-10 on hard courts.

The Frenchman has lost his last two matches, most recently to Fabian Marozsan in Washington, his fifth consecutive ATP Tour hard court defeat.  He's now 66th in the live rankings. Only three times has he made it past round two of an ATP Tour event this year, one being on clay.

His best performances came in early 2025 with a quarter-final in Adelaide and reaching round three of the Australian Open. Walton looks to be in the better form and we tip the Australian to win this.
