Vision FC’s second game in the Ghana Premier League will have them traveling to the capital to face Accra Lions on Monday. Both teams are eyeing first wins of the season heading into Match Day 2. Read on for our prediction of this game.

Accra Lions’ target for the season will be to go one better after finishing second in the league in 2023/24. They wrapped up the campaign 10 points behind champions Samartex and will be keen on bettering that.

Their start to the current season hasn’t, however, been great. The hosts are coming off a 1-0 defeat at Medeama, extending their run of poor starts. In the last three seasons, Accra Lions failed to register wins in the opening week. However, they won their week two matches across the last two seasons.

Like Accra Lions, Vision FC will also be seeking their first win of the season. The visitors played to a 0-0 draw with Berekum Chelsea in their first ever Ghanaian Premier League match in history.

Nana Kwaku Agyemang’s side finished top of Group 3 in Division One in 2023/24. They then fought their way through the playoffs for a deserved spot in the topflight.

Having finished with the most points (58) across all groups in the second tier, Vision will feel confident of finding their footing in the top league.

The team will be looking at recent form for inspiration coming to this game. They’ve suffered only two defeats in their last 10 competitive matches. The last three, however, ended in draws. Their last three away matches also didn’t produce a win, the team losing once.
