Malawi have already dropped out of contention for the 2022 World Cup ahead of their home game against Cameroon in Group D. In 10 matches in World Cup qualification, Cameroon have only lost twice – to Nigeria and Ivory Coast. They have a good scoring run in this competition; in their last six World Cup qualification matches, they’ve scored two or more in four. They beat Malawi 2-0 in the first meeting in this group, extending their run to three unbeaten outings against their hosts.
