Bournemouth vs Brighton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

10th-place Bournemouth host 11th-placed Brighton in Sunday afternoon’s early kick off in the Premier League. The two south coast teams have had conflicting fortunes over the course of the season. Bournemouth started the season slowly, but have had three excellent runs of good form which has propelled Andoni Iraola’s team into mid-table safety. Bournemouth have won five, drawn two and lost two of their last nine games, both defeats coming away from home. Only Liverpool and Manchester City have beaten Iraola’s team at their Vitality Stadium in their last 12 home games and they are unbeaten in five on home soil. The home side came into this game following a two-game trip to the Midlands that saw them lose 3-1 to Aston Villa last weekend, but then earn a fine 1-0 win away to Wolves in midweek. 

Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton have struggled for form over the last few weeks. They have not won a game in five matches, losing three, although those three defeats have come against Liverpool, Arsenal and most recently a 4-0 home defeat to Manchester City on Thursday night. In between those two games the Seagulls have landed two draws away from home, a 0-0 at Brentford then a 1-1 draw away to Burnley. It is fair to point out that De Zerbi’s team have been decimated by injuries over recent times and that has certainly not helped them in any of their most recent performances. After a great start to the season, Brighton’s form has tailed off somewhat of late and with their four remaining games after this one against Aston Villa, Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United, things don’t get any easier for them.
