After both teams having played four games, Walsall sit in a somewhat disappointing eleventh place in the league table with six points from four matches. In contrast, despite losing their opening league game to table-toppers Crewe, Salford won their next three to claim nine points and lie fourth in the table behind Chesterfield on goal difference.

Walsall boss Matt Sadler will be hoping home advantage helps his team here.
