Wales will host Gibraltar for a friendly match on Wednesday. The two nations will use the match to help prepare for their upcoming Euro qualifiers. Wales play Croatia in a crucial Group D qualifier this coming weekend and will seek to build momentum with this match. Robert Page’s men sit fourth in their group and are just three points adrift of the qualifying places. They arrive for the visit of Gibraltar off the back of a 2-0 success away to Latvia. The win, during September’s international window, ended a three-match run without a victory. Wales have now not lost in two outings and have kept a clean sheet in both matches. The Dragons haven’t lost any of the last seven friendly matches they have hosted and have won three times.
Wales are struggling with inconsistency but Gibraltar have been just woeful. Julio Ribas’ men haven’t won a match this year and have lost all six matches they have played in 2023. It is now almost a year since Los Llanis won back-to-back friendly matches against Liechtenstein and Andorra. Gibraltar were thumped 5-0 by Greece in their last outing. This was a Euro qualifying match during the last international window. Their biggest loss of the year confirmed their elimination from the race to reach next year’s continental showpiece in Germany. Gibraltar have been competing in Group B where they sit bottom without a point after five rounds of play. Team 54 host Ireland this weekend in their next match.

Our Wales vs Gibraltar Prediction
Wales haven’t been dominant on the offensive end and have also struggled lately. They have however fared much better than Gibraltar coming into this match. With Gibraltar seeking to end a six-match losing run, this could be a tough build-up match for Wales. Our prediction for Wales v Gibraltar is for under 2.5 goals to be scored in the match.
