Hosts Ulster and Racing will be looking to get their Champions Cup campaigns up and running on Saturday after opening defeats. Ulster arrive for this game fifth in Group 2 with no points while Racing are a place above on two points. A shaky performance last time out against Bath saw Ulster suffer a 37-14 loss in the Champions Cup. The 1999 Champions Cup winners have been in poor form with the Bath loss extending their losing streak to three. Glasgow and Edinburgh both claimed Ulster’s scalp in their poor run which saw them plummet to seventh in the United Rugby Championship.

Racing are on two points despite the 28-31 defeat to Harlequin after scoring four tries and losing by less than eight points. The French Top 14 table toppers also suffered a bump on the road in the league going down 23-18 to Clermont. Both Ulster and Racing have won a game each in their recent meetings having been in the same group in 2018. Racing will be looking to new recruits Siya Kolisi and Henry Arundell to dig them out of the recent slump. The former possesses the necessary experience having led South Africa to back-to-back World Cup titles.
