We’re set for a clash shaped by shifting ambitions on Saturday, when a surging Brighton & Hove Albion arrive in North London to face Tottenham Hotspur on Matchday 33 in the Premier League. The Lilywhites are 18th in the league standings, while the Seagulls are in ninth place. Check out our match prediction below!
Sixteen defeats in 32 EPL games, two points from safety, and just six matches to try and avoid the drop - we are witnessing one of the greatest collapses in Prem history. The Roberto de Zerbi era at Spurs started in the worst way possible on Wearside last weekend, and the Italian tactician now faces his former team in a fixture that could prove decisive in his current side’s push for survival.
In contrast, Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls are soaring of late, just one point off seventh and firmly in the race for European qualification. The Albion won a five-goal thriller in this exact fixture last term - can they follow up on that result and add to Spurs' misery heading into the final stretch of the season? Let’s get into the key stats!

Tottenham - Brighton: Form Analysis
After 31 gameweeks teetering just above the Premier League’s dotted line, Tottenham Hotspur finally slipped into the bottom three last weekend after suffering a 1-0 defeat away to Sunderland.
Spurs have not won a single EPL game in 2026 (D5 L9). This is the fourth-longest winless run in the competition from the start of a calendar year - the three teams to go longer without winning were all relegated at the end of the season.
The hosts have the worst home record in the top flight this season with a mere 10 points earned from 16 matches. They have also conceded two or more goals in each of their last six at this venue.
Tottenham are winless in their last three league matches against Brighton!
Meanwhile, Brighton secured a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory over Burnley last time out, and they could end this weekend in the top six in the EPL standings if results elsewhere go in their favour.
The Seagulls have earned 12 points from their last five Prem games (W4 L1), which is the joint-best return in the top flight over this period, a tally only matched by league leaders Arsenal.
The visitors have taken just 19 points from their 10 away games this term, but they are riding a three-match win streak on the road and have maintained clean sheets in each of those victories.

Tottenham & Brighton Squad Analysis
Not only did Spurs lose three points on their trip to the Stadium of Light, but they also lost the services of their skipper, Christian Romero, who suffered a knee injury and is expected to sit out the rest of the season.
Kevin Danso is the most likely to fill the void left by the Argentine in central defence, while Joao Palhinha is expected to replace Archie Gray in the double-pivot alongside Conor Gallagher this week.
Romero adds to an already lengthy absentee list for the hosts, which includes Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert, James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Pascal Gross could be one to watch for Brighton in this match!
The German international has been an unsung hero for the Seagulls since returning to the club. He has created 24 chances in his last 13 appearances since January, which is the fourth-most in the top flight over the period.
Brighton will also have to make do without a key member of their defensive line in Lewis Dunk, who will be serving the second of his two-match ban after receiving his 10th yellow card of the season against Liverpool.
Hurzeler confirmed that James Milner is likely to be in contention for this match after missing the Burnley game with a knock. However, Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas are still sidelined for the visitors.

Our Tottenham vs Brighton Prediction
Tottenham showed glimpses of improvement in their first match under De Zerbi, but it’s difficult to overlook just how poor they have been on home soil, where they’ve managed just two wins in 16 matches this season.
Brighton, on the other hand, have been the best team in the top flight over the last six gameweeks, and have not conceded in their last three on the road. We fancy the visitors here, but with favourable odds on offer, we will opt for the safety of our money back for the draw result as our primary wager. Our Tottenham vs Brighton prediction is Brighton draw no bet.
Tottenham vs Brighton Alternative Predictions
Over 2.5 goals
Each of Tottenham’s last six home league games have ended with over 2.5 goals, while Brighton have scored two or more goals in four of their last six matches.
Brighton wins
For all the same reasons listed in our main prediction, we will be going for the visitors to secure a fourth straight away win and add to Spurs’ misery at home.
