Ninth seed Daniel Evans and 12th seed Tallon Griekspoor will on Monday contest the final of the 2023 Washington Open. This will be Evans’ first final of the year and Griekspoor’s third. Tallon Griekspoor has already won two tour titles this year, one coming on hard court. He is having his best-ever season in the tour as those two titles were his first at this level. The Dutchman defeated the in-form Taylor Fritz (top seed) in three sets in the semifinals. This should have him confident of emerging victorious here. He is up eight places to 22nd in the live ranking which is a career-high.
