Switzerland host the Czech Republic in St. Gallen, with the two teams desperately looking to avoid the drop to League B. Switzerland can afford a draw, while the Czech Republic need to get the three points in order to send the Suisse a division down. The hosts should be exhilarated by their away win to Spain. They played wonderful football, with Breel Embolo and Xherdan Shaqiri looking in electric form. It is now back-to-back wins for the Swiss side, who have lost just once at home in their last thirteen games.
The Czech Republic are looking much poorer than the side that stunned the Netherlands at Euro 2021. Their latest heavy loss to Portugal was their third on the bounce, with the Czech outfit failing to score in all of those defeats. They have now conceded in their last seven straight encounters, while they are winless in their last four away from home. On the upside, they can count on their positive tradition against the Swiss, whom they have beaten in four of their previous five meetings.
