Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Jan-Lennard Struff Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas bids to bounce back from his early exit in the Madrid Masters. He's the sixth seed in the Italian Open and has a tricky second round tie against unseeded Jan-Lennard Struff. Whoever makes it to round three will face either 27th seed Cameron Norrie or unseeded Jaume Munar. This is an outdoor clay court Masters tournament and Tsitsipas has already won one title this year being victorious in Monte Carlo. He then reached the final in Barcelona but lost to Casper Ruud. Perhaps all those matches took it out of him as he surprisingly lost to Thiago Monteiro in Madrid. The Greek has an excellent record in this tournament with a run to the final in 2022 and the semi-finals last year. He's down to tenth in the live rankings with so many points to defend from last year. In the Live ATP Race, Tsitsipas is seventh but can move up to sixth if winning this match.

Jan-Lennard Struff is 3-3 in previous meetings with Tsitsipas but is 2-0 up on him on clay. One of those wins was achieved five years ago, the other in Madrid last year. Each of their last five meetings has seen the match go to a final set. Struff has already won one clay court tournament this year with success in the BMW Open in Munich. He's 39th in the live rankings but 26th in the ATP Race. The German reached the last 16 in Madrid with a win over Ugo Humbert before losing to Carlos Alcaraz but he did take a set off the Spaniard. He beat Pedro Cachin in the first round of this tournament without dropping a set. This could be another close match and we go for it to be won in three sets.
