This Group A match between the third-placed Proteas and the sixth-placed Lionesses is a chance for South Africa to improve their net run rate with a big win on Thursday in Bristol.
With four points from three matches (W2, L1), South Africa are just behind leaders Australia and are tied on points with India and Bangladesh. The Netherlands have lost all three matches and are already eliminated from the top-two race.
