World No. 1 South Africa will wrap up their July Test series hosting 11th-ranked Georgia at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday. The Springboks will aim for a perfect run in the mid-year internationals with a win over the Lelos. Here is our prediction for the match.
After thrashing Barbarians 54-7 in an uncapped friendly in June, South Africa opened their 2025 mid-year internationals defeating 10th-ranked Italy 42-24 in Pretoria. This was followed by a 45-0 shutout in the second tie of the two-test series against the Blues.
Rassie Erasmus will be aiming for a perfect record in the mid-year internationals facing Georgia on Saturday in Mbombela. They have won their last six test matches, five of which by blowout margins.
After winning the Rugby Europe Championship for a record 17th time in March, Georgia lost 34-5 against third-ranked Ireland in their last Test match. This was followed by a 24-20 defeat against Cheetahs in an uncapped friendly. They will face a difficult test on Saturday against the Springboks.
Notably, the Richard Cockerill-led side are on a nine-match losing streak against Tier 1 opposition and higher-ranked teams. This includes six consecutive defeats on the road against such sides.

Our South Africa vs Georgia Prediction
South Africa will be aiming for a seventh straight test victory heading into this match, having won their last six ties mostly by blowout margins. Rassie Erasmus’ side will also be aiming for their seventh successive win at home, the last of which was a 45-point shutout over 10th-ranked Italy.
Comparing these impressive results with Georgia’s winless run against Tier 1 and higher-ranked teams, we expect the Springboks, ranked 10 places above Georgia, to ease to another convincing victory on Saturday. Our South Africa vs Georgia prediction is South Africa - 46.5 handicap points.
