Jannik Sinner set another record on Thursday when he beat Andrey Rublev in straight sets. That was his 32nd consecutive victory in Masters tournaments and that includes winning the recent outdoor hard court Indian Wells title, beating Medvedev in straight sets.

The world number one has now won 27 successive matches and has a 15-0 record on clay this year with two titles won. He has reached this semi-final in Rome without dropping a set or losing more than four games in a set. Sinner has won his last four matches against Medvedev, the last three in straight sets.

Eight of his last nine matches have seen less than 20.5 games played.

Daniil Medvedev won this title three years ago but this is his first time past round four in Rome since then. The world number nine has dropped a set in two of his three matches so far in this tournament. The last eight saw him beat lucky loser Martin Landaluce after losing the first set 6-1.
