South African side Sharks begin their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign. They are in pool 1 and this weekend host English Premiership side Exeter Chiefs. Can the Sharks get off to a winning start? Here's our match prediction.

The South Africans are sixth in the United Rugby Championship with four wins and a couple of defeats. Three of those wins have come on home soil where all their league matches have been won. Glasgow Stormers and Munster have all been beaten this season.
Exeter Chiefs are having a miserable time in this year's English Premiership. They are bottom of the table after losing all seven of their matches this season. Their most recent defeat saw them beaten 19-15 at Bath Rugby.
Away form in the English Premiership has seen them beaten in all four of their games with 102 points conceded. Other defeats came at Newcastle (their first league win since the 2022/23 season), Saracens and Northampton Saints.
