The English Premiership resumes after all the recent European matches. Saracens are third in the table and host Gloucester who are ninth in the table. There are four games of the main season remaining and Saracens are in a good position to reach the end-of-season play-offs. They trail leaders Northampton Saints by seven points but are two ahead of Bristol who are fifth. The top four teams go into the play-offs and Saracens can take a step towards those with a home win over Gloucester. Their last two matches have both been lost but against strong opposition and on the road. Saracens lost to Northampton and were then beaten at Bordeaux Begles in the European Rugby Champions Cup. Those were matches in which Saracens were the underdogs but that's not the case here. They have scored 92 points in their last two home matches against Exeter Chiefs and Harlequins. That made it five wins and two losses on home soil in this season's English Premiership. At least 37 points have been scored in each of their last three home league games.

Gloucester have a battle on their hands to qualify for European competition next season. They are ninth in the table and 11 points adrift of the final qualification spot. They have lost three of their last five matches in the English Premiership and their last league game saw them beaten 33-24 at home by Bristol. There have been two wins in the European Challenge Cup (both at home) but getting a good result at Saracens looks a stiff task. Gloucester have lost ten of their 14 league games this season and been beaten in five of their seven away matches. We tip Saracens to win and defy a -17.5 points handicap.
