English Premership leaders Sale host Saracens who are fourth in the table. Sale have won six of their eight league games this season and lead the table on head-to-head results with second placed Bath. It's their home form that has taken them to the top of the table. Away results have been poor and that explains why the Sharks are in the strange position of being league leaders but with a negative points difference. A win over Saracens will make it five wins out of five at home in the English Premiership this season. Their most recent home league success was a 11-9 win over Bath. Recent weeks have seen them in action in the European Champions Cup with a good home win over Stade Francais but defeat away at Leinster.

Saracens are only two points behind their opponents. They have won five of their eight games in the English Premiership this season. Like their opponents (who lost at Harlequins), Saracens also lost their last league fixture. They went down 18-12 at home to Northampton Saints. Away form has produced three wins but they lost 65-10 at Exeter Chiefs. Wins on the road have come against Gloucester, Newcastle and Harlequins. Of those three sides beaten, Newcastle and Gloucester are currently the bottom two in the table. In Europe, they lost away at Bulls before beating Connacht 55-36 at home.  The fact Sale are at home is going to be a major factor in this top-of-the table clash.
