Sale Sharks will host Bath Rugby in week seven of the Gallagher Premiership on Friday evening. This is a top-of-the-table clash between the sides ranked first and second respectively. The Sharks have won all three of their home matches in the league this season and are unbeaten in their last four in all competitions. They have also won four and drawn one of the last five against this opponent. The hosts are the favourites heading into this one. 

Meanwhile, after a lowly eighth-placed finish last season, Bath have begun the current league campaign very positively. They have managed five bonus points in six games, and a win here will see them move into first place in the standing owing to their superior points difference. The visitors come into this match following a hard-fought battle against derby rivals Bristol Bears last week. They managed to hold onto a one-point lead to win that match 20-19 and are also carrying a three-match winning streak into this encounter. Bath have won two and lost one of their three away games this term and could find it difficult here against a Sale side that are difficult to break down on their home patch.
