A tough tie in the quarter-final awaits the winners. Either Lille or Aston Villa will be faced with the Premier League club 1-0 up after the first leg in France. Roma - Bologna: Form Analysis
AS Roma are sixth in Serie A, two places above Bologna. Their hopes of Champions League football next season have been hit recently by a run of only five points from as many games.
Last week saw the Wolves earn a come-from-behind 1-1 draw at Bologna. Since then, they've lost a vital Serie A match at Como (fourth in the table) 2-1. That made it four games without a win for them.
They are unbeaten in their last five home games but two of those have been drawn. While they are unbeaten in their last three games against Bologna, two have ended level.
Bologna are in the better form.
The Red and Blues followed up last week's draw with Roma with a 1-0 away victory at Sassuolo. They have only lost one of their last eight matches and six of those have been won.
It's their away form that has to be noted here. Each of their last five games on the road have been won, the last three of them all by a 1-0 scoreline. Only Aston Villa have beaten them in this season's Europa League with no losses in the last four away fixtures.

Gianluca Mancini was suspended for the first leg but is available for Roma on Thursday. Also available again is Evan Ndicka who was injured and missed their weekend loss at Como. Wesley's suspension is only for domestic games not the Europa League.
Donyell Malen has made a good start to life at Roma.
They will still be missing Paulo Dybala who is out with a knee injury. Evan Ferguson will also be absent so Donyell Malen will continue up front. Malen has scored seven goals for his new club since joining from Aston Villa in January but only two in his last five games.
Their injury problems are mounting with Zeki Celik having to be taken off in their weekend fixture.
Bologna will have their club captain Lewis Ferguson back for this match. He was suspended for their weekend victory at Sassuolo. Beginning a suspension though is their left-back Juan Miranda.
Federico Ravaglia usually plays for them in goal in this competition. That should be the case here as their first-choice goalie Lukasz Skorupski (who used to play for Roma) was injured in their last game.
