A battle between two teams in the top four in the Serie A unfolds this weekend when AS Roma welcome AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. Roma are in the title picture, but a loss here will complicate things. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have racked up 42 points thanks to 14 wins. Yet to draw a league match, the hosts sit seven points off the pace. Roma have won their last three league games, all by similar 2-0 scorelines.
They defeated Torino away from home last weekend and followed that up with another 2-0 win over visiting Stuttgart in the Europa League. That midweek victory ensured that the Capital club confirmed progression to the knockout rounds of Europe’s second-tier club competition.
AS Roma haven’t lost at home to Milan since 2023.
AC Milan bring with them a six-game unbeaten streak to the capital. Massimiliano Allegri’s men have won four times in this run and defeated Lecce by a solitary goal last time out. The Red and Blacks have an even longer unbeaten run when it comes to solely league outings.
Milan haven’t lost in the Serie A since a 2-1 upset at home by Cremonese on matchday 1. This 20-game streak is the second-longest unbeaten run in league competition in Europe this season. It has allowed them to remain firmly in the title race. The visitors sit just three points off the pace, having accumulated 46 points thanks to 13 wins and seven draws.
