Strasbourg are within striking distance of European football, but their next Ligue 1 opponents, Toulouse, are a serious stumbling block. These two face off on Sunday, hosts Strasbourg in seventh place and Toulouse in 10th. Read on for our prediction of the match.

Strasbourg have done well this season to earn the right for a place in Europe next season. However tight that race is, they are in there with a shot.

Going into matchday 26, Le Racing are only two points out. A 1-0 win against Nantes lifted them to 40 points and after two straight away wins, they’ll be happy to host the next two. They kept clean sheets in all the five games.

Toulouse also harbor top six ambitions. They are quite some distance away, separated by eight points, but they’ve been performing well. In their last match they played to a 1-1 draw with Monaco, halting their earlier back to back wins.

Here they will hope to claim a first win in four matches against Strasbourg. In the reverse fixture they lost 2-1 at home. Les Violets’ away form has been improving and they will be banking on that.
