Top seed Qinwen Zheng’s Palermo title defence continues with a semi-final clash against fourth seed Diane Parry. The winner will set up a final game against Irina-Camelia Begu, Karolina Muchova or Astra Sharma. Here’s our prediction for the match as Parry seeks her first win against Zheng.
Zheng’s triumph here last year handed her the first tour crown. That success set her on her way to being a top 10 WTA player. Zheng, who is yet to lose a set in Palermo, defeated former champion Irina-Camelia Begu in the quarter-finals.
