The Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will face off in Match 55 of the Indian Premier League on Monday. Both PBKS (2nd) and DC (7th) have not been in their best form of late, which sees us leaning toward the player prop market as our main match prediction.
After going unbeaten across their first seven games of the season, the Punjab Kings have hit a rough patch, now on a three-match losing streak after going down to SRH by 33 runs on Wednesday.
The one major positive from that defeat was the performance of Cooper Connolly, who scored 107* in 59 deliveries and now leads the team with 377 runs in nine innings. Arshdeep Singh has 11 wickets in 10 matches.
Shashank Singh returned to the team after being dropped against the Rajasthan Royals and should feature for the Kings in this one.
Meanwhile, after losing to the Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday, the Delhi Capitals are now four points behind the top four teams with just three games left to play in the group stage.
KL Rahul has been the standout performer for DC, currently third in the Orange Cap standings with 468 runs in 11 innings. Axar Patel is the only player to have taken 10+ wickets for them in the competition.
