Second seeds Phoenix Suns look to extend their lead over the LA Clippers in the NBA Western Conference final. They lead the best-of-seven series 1-0, with the winners taking on either Atlanta Hawks or Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA final. These two sides are no strangers as they both play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The Suns finished top of that division with the Clippers in third with four wins less. The Clippers had a couple of wins over the Suns earlier in the season. The final match between them in the regular season saw the Suns win at home by eight points.

The Suns have beaten the LA Lakers 4-2 and then Denver Nuggets 4-0 to get to this Western Conference final. They got off to a good start on home court with a 120-114 win. At half time the Suns had a three point lead but went into the final quarter with the scores level. The Suns forged ahead in the fourth quarter to get the vital win. Now they again host the Clippers knowing a 2-0 lead would give them a great advantage going into the next couple of games that will be played in LA.  Devin Brooker was in top form for the Suns with 40 points. Another performance similar to that can see the Suns get another win. The absence of Khawi Leonard for the Clippers adds to the reasoning for the Suns to win this match.
