The Phoenix Suns will welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers when the two teams take to the court next in the NBA. Phoenix are currently eighth in the West standings while Cleveland are third out in the East. The Suns got back to winning ways last time out by defeating the Pelicans 124-111 away from home. It was the final match of a five-game road trip in the West that saw mixed results. Frank Vogel’s men lost twice on the trip but one of their three wins was against the Nuggets. This inconsistent run has kept them out of the top six. They however remain in the hunt for an automatic playoff place as they sit just one game from the top six. And having won six of the last eight matchups with the Cavs will have them confident of a winning return home. Greyson Allen has been listed as ‘Questionable’ for this game while Damion Lee is still out. The Suns have averaged 110.3 points over their last three matches.

The Cavaliers are almost certain of a top-six finish but they aren’t so sure of finishing amongst the top four. J.B. Bickerstaff’s men have struggled with their form and have been defeated five times in their last eight outings. This unwanted stretch has them now just 1.5 games clear of the two teams directly behind them. The Cavs, who sit 3.5 games above the play-in places, have compiled a 46-30 record. They got back to winning ways last time out by piling more misery on the reeling Jazz. Cleveland, who have six more regular season games to navigate, won 129-113 in Utah. Leading scorer Donovan Mitchell missed the game due to a knee issue which will also keep him out of this trip. Craig Porter Jr. Dean Wade and Ty Jerome are all also set to miss this game. The Cavs have averaged 115.7 points over their last three matches.
