It's the third game of this Western Conference play-off first round. Defending NBA champions, the LA Lakers are 1-1 after two of the maximum seven games against the Phoenix Suns. The first match between these two teams saw the Lakers (who had to go through the play-ins to reach this stage) get off to a bad start being beaten 99-90. The Suns got off to a good start with a seven-point lead and that has stretched to 13 midway through the second half before a Lakers fightback that wasn't enough. Devin Brooker scored 34 points in that game and another 31 in the second. That wasn't good enough to make it 2-0 to the Suns as the Lakers won 109-102 with Anthony Davis scoring 32 points. Both of those matches were played in Arizona, now it's time for two games in LA and the Lakers will be out to get a good lead to take to Arizona for the fifth leg. The Lakers have that vital home advantage and momentum from winning match 2, go for them to get another win and go 2-1 up in the series.
