Qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild will face off with Nuno Borges in the first round of the Rome Masters. This will mark a third meeting between the two, with the winner meeting Felix Auger-Aliassime. Below is our prediction of the match.

Borges’ inconsistent run in the season continued at the Estoril Challenger. At the hands of Miomir Kecmanovic, Borges suffered a second-round defeat in three sets.

He is making a third appearance at the Rome Masters, and his best at this event was reaching the fourth round last year. The Portuguese is unbeaten in the first round here. His highlight for this season was reaching the Auckland semi-final.

Thiago Seyboth Wild hasn’t had a great campaign, and his numbers for the season reveal as much. The Brazilian will be playing in the main draw in Rome after beating Pierluigi Basile and Jesper de Jong in the qualifying rounds.

Before that he had exited the Mauthausen Challenger in the second round after falling in three sets to Alexander Blockx. In the ATP Tour this season, Seyboth Wild has struggled to rise from the first round across all events he’s participated in.
