The Vitality Blast North Group leaders, Warwickshire, will head to The County Ground to face sixth-placed Northamptonshire on Wednesday evening. The visitors are one of two sides, along with Worcestershire, to have made a perfect start in this tournament, winning all three matches to date. Warwickshire put on a dominant display in their last match, beating third-placed Lancashire by seven wickets and 34 balls to spare. Danny Briggs and Dan Mousley were excellent for The Bears and bundled their opponents out for a meager 98 runs in 14.5 overs. Briggs bagged four wickets for just 15 runs and is now the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with seven, while Mousley picked up three for 13. The skipper Alex Davies headlined at the top of the batting order, scoring an unbeaten 51 in 39 balls. The Bears have shuffled their top order significantly in each of their three opening matches but are still to find the perfect combination. Yet, they have managed to come through matches on top thanks to excellent individual performances with bat or ball, indicating the class in their ranks. The visitors have beaten this opposition in each of their last four encounters and are fancied to extend their record in this one. 

Meanwhile, the hosts come into this match after registering their first win of the tournament, beating Derbyshire on Monday. That win came following a 15-run loss to Worcestershire in the opening match and a ten-wicket drubbing by Durham last Friday. Their two points in three matches leave them four points off the leaders and with a net run rate of -1.047. Saif Zaib was the top-scorer for Northants in their last match, with an unbeaten 37 in 22 balls. Chris Lynn and David Willey also contributed 31 each in chasing down the 151/6 total set by their opponents. As far as the bowling performances were concerned, only Tom Taylor took two wickets in the match, while Willey, Tye, Sales, and Heldreich all took one each. Despite picking up the win, it was far from a strong performance against a side that is yet to win a match in this tournament. But, if they can go back to back here, it may give them the boost they need to make a push up the table.
