Northampton Saints vs RC Toulonnais Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions Cup

Northampton Saints bid to make it two wins out of two in the European Rugby Champions Cup. They host Toulon in Pool C (which they lead) with their French opponents in fifth place. The top four qualify for the knockout stages and Saints lead Exeter Chiefs (the only other side to win so far in the pool) on points difference. Last week saw Northampton begin their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign with a come-from-behind 28-19 win away at Glasgow Warriors. The Saints are fifth in the English Premiership and in good form at present. The win over Glasgow was their sixth in their last seven games, the only loss being away to Leicester Tigers. Three of their four home league games have been won this season, so this is going to be a tough assignment for Toulon.

The Top 14 side didn't get their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign off to a good start. They led Exeter Chiefs 18-5 at the break but then failed to score in the second half and went down 19-18. Toulon are currently second in Top 14, a point behind Racing 92. The narrow loss to Exeter (who were getting a rare away win) ended a run of four games without defeat. Losing at home was a big blow for them as they have won all five of their home games in Top 14 this season. Away form hasn't been so good with three of their four games on the road being lost.
