Bristol can boost their play-off hopes with an away victory at Newcastle Red Bulls. They are fifth in Rugby PREM and will be confident of a win against Newcastle who are bottom of the table. Time for our match prediction.
Just one place and four points separate Bristol from the final end-of-season play-off position. They beat Gloucester 53-12 at home last weekend to take their season record to nine wins and four defeats.
It was a big win for them against local rivals Gloucester. It ended a run of seven straight losses, though a few of those had seen them field weakened line-ups in the PREM Rugby Cup. Bristol have won three of their away league fixtures but lost the same number.
Last weekend didn't go so well for Newcastle Red Bulls. They were defeated 62-3 at Leicester Tigers and are eight points adrift at the bottom of PREM Rugby. There's a further point to eighth place which is the final qualifying position for next season's ERCC.
Only one of their 13 league games has been won this season with the other 12 all being lost. Their only victory was a home win over Gloucester. Five out of six home league games have ended in defeat.
