Match 11 at the 2026 T20 World Cup will see New Zealand taking on the United Arab Emirates at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday. The Black Caps lead Group D, while this is the UAE’s first game in the tournament. Let’s get into the match prediction.
New Zealand got their T20 World Cup campaign started with an impressive victory, chasing down 182/6 in 17.5 overs against a dangerous Afghanistan on Sunday morning.
Lockie Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets for 40 runs in his four overs, while Tim Seifert scored 65 off 42 deliveries to earn the Player of the Match award.
The Black Cpas have now split their last 10 T20I matches, five wins and five defeats. They have faced their upcoming opponent three times in the shortest format and won two of those matches.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates will be featuring in their third T20 World Cup this year. They’ve only won one match in this competition, beating Namibia back in the 2022 edition.
The UAE qualified for this tournament by finishing in the top three in the Asia/ East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Qualifier tournament. Their deciding match was against Japan, which they won by eight wickets.
However, the team has lost its last four T20 matches (all in 2026), including their two warm-up games against Italy and Nepal last week.

Our New Zealand vs UAE Prediction
New Zealand got their World Cup campaign off to a winning start against Afghanistan over the weekend, but while there were several good performances in that match, Tim Seifert’s effort stood out.
The Black Caps’ wicketkeeper-batsman scored 65 runs of 42 balls at the top of the innings to lead the team’s chase. He has also been in great nick leading up to the World Cup, and we feel he will produce another solid knock in this one. Our New Zealand vs UAE prediction is Tim Seifert over 26.5 runs.
