Which unseeded player will face either eighth seed Luciano Darderi or Daniel Altmaier in the Belgrade Open second round? The first round of this indoor hard court tournament sees Christopher O'Connell face Miomir Kecmanovic. Here's our match prediction.
Christopher O'Connell is 71st in the live rankings and like his opponent had an eventful time in last week's Paris Masters. Like Kecmanovic, he lost in the qualifying rounds but was reinstated as a lucky loser. That took him into round one, where he lost in three sets to Karen Khachanov.
The Australian has only won one of his last seven matches. That was when beating Sumit Nagal in the Paris Masters first qualifying round. Three of his last four losses have seen the match go to a final set.
Miomir Kecmanovic was also a lucky loser in Paris and made it to round two in the main draw, losing to Alex de Minaur. Kecmanovic is inconsistent but he did reach the quarter-finals in Stockholm last month.
He's 53rd in the live rankings but was as high as 27th last year. Four of his last five matches have seen at least one tie-break played and a side bet on one here is advisable. Overall, we go for over 21.5 games to be played.
