Martina Trevisan vs Olivia Gadecki Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Guadalajara

It's been a week of surprises in the bottom half of the draw for the Guadalajara Open Akron. No seeded players remain and qualifier Olivia Gadecki takes on unseeded Martina Trevisan for a place in the last four.

The winner of this match will face either Camila Osorio or Kamilla Rakhimova in the semi-finals, both of whom are unseeded.

It's been a big week for Olivia Gadeck. The world number 152 had to go through the qualifiers to make it into the main draw. The Australian had few problems achieving that and won both her matches in straight sets dropping only nine games.

That took her into the first round and her good form continued with a straight sets victory over Sloane Stephens. In round two, the 22-year-old caused a big shock when beating the second seed Danielle Collins.

Again no sets were dropped with both being won 6-3. The four wins have taken Gadecki to 118th in the live rankings, two places above her previous career-high. It's a continuation of the form shown last week when getting to the last eight of a WTA 125 event.

Martina Trevisan is 99th in the latest list but was  as high as 18th last year. The French player also reached the last eight of the WTA 125 event in Guadalajara last week but lost to a player ranked outside the top 100.

Five out of six matches had been lost before last week's tournament. Her two wins came against players ranked outside the top 290. This week has seen her beat fifth seed Caroline Dolehide and Renata Zarazua without dropping a set.
