There will definitely be an unseeded player in the last eight of the Hobart International. That's because Veronika Kudermetova takes on Camila Osorio in round two of this outdoor hard court tournament. Here's our match prediction.

Veronika Kudermetova is the world number 77 but lost her first match of this new season. That was a straight sets defeat by Peyton Stearns in the Brisbane International. The loss made it four defeats in a row for the 27-year-old who has been sliding down the rankings.

That poor run came to an end when Elisabetta Cocciaretto was beaten in the first round of this tournament. A close first set was won 7-5 by Kudermetova but she won the next without dropping a game.

Camila Osorio has won her only previous match against Kudermetova. That was in the Guadalajara Open last year in a three-setter that saw 38 games played with two tie-breaks. 

Osorio is the world number 61 and this is her first tournament since November. On that occasion, the Colombian reached the last eight in her homeland in a clay court event. Round one of this tournament saw her beat eighth seed Yuan Yue for the loss of only five games.

This could be a close match and we tip Camila Osorio to get the victory.
