World number 80 Jaqueline Cristian will take on the qualifier Camila Osorio in the opening round of the Wuhan Open. The winner of their first career meeting will set up a second-round showdown with fifth seed Qinwen Zheng. Below are the match-defining stats as well as our prediction.

Currently placed 75th in the live ranking, Cristian has suffered the majority of her losses, nine, in the first round.
