Game six of the Philippine Cup semi finals tips off on Sunday with the defending champions TNT just one win away from booking a return trip to the finals. In a rematch of last year’s final, Chot Reyes’ men will have their eyes firmly set on back-to-back triumphs in this competition and a ninth team title overall. Magnolia are looking to win their 15th club championship and first title since the 2017/18 Governors’ Cup as well as putting an end to a run of three straight runners-up finishes. The defending champions TNT are sure to get their opponents best effort with the Hotshots’ backs firmly against the wall as they stare down a 3-2 deficit in this best of seven series.

We’ve touched on the takeover ability of guard Mike Williams and TNT will surely be depending on a big contribution from the Filipino-American to lead them to a second straight finals. Williams has excellent support at his disposal, with point-guard Roger Ray Pogoy another one of the league’s top scorers with 17.5 points per game. The veteran leadership of Jayson Castro, who hit the game winner in game four, provides the team with a level headed distributor.
