Lulu Sun vs Linda Noskova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Monterrey Open

Fifth seed Linda Noskova faces unseeded Lulu Sun in the final of the Monterrey Open. Neither of these two players have won a WTA Tour final but who will break their duck? Here's our match prediction.

It's already been a massive year for Lulu Sun. The New Zealander wasn't even in the top 200 when this year began. Now, mainly thanks to her WImbledon quarter-final, Sun is up to 41st in the live rankings and will climb another five places with a win here.

The 23-year-old has won a couple of titles on the ITF circuit this year, one on a hard court. This is her first time in a WTA Tour final. Before this Monterrey tournament she hadn't even made it to the last eight of a WTA Tour hard court event.

To reach this final, she's beaten Chloe Paquet, Maria Lourdes Carle (needing three sets), Erika Andreeva and then third seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova. That semi-final win over the seed was clinched by a third set tie-break.

Linda Noskova might wish the US Open was being played a week later. Her current 35th ranking means she missed out on being seeded at the Grand Slam. She faces 30th seed Yulia Putintseva in round one.

Noskova is now 29th in the live rankings and is playing in her third WTA Tour final, all played on hard courts. Her form had been inconsistent and she lost to Noskova in her last tournament but is playing much better in Monterrey..

Wins have come this week against Anna Danilina, Xiy Wang and fifth seed Elina Svitolina. Friday's semi-final saw her defeat second seed Emma Navarro.

The Czech hasn't lost a set all week and we tip her to win this final.  A side bet on a tie-break might win as they've played five this week.
