Seventh placed Leicester Tigers will be confident of a home win this weekend. They host Newcastle Falcons on Sunday and the visitors have lost all seven of their English Premiership games this season. The Tigers have been doing much better with three league victories to their name and 15 points. That puts them three places and seven points behind the final play-off position. Last weekend saw Leicester win 38-20 at Gloucester, their second successive league victory. Before that, they had beaten Northampton Saints 26-17 at home. It's a good comeback by the Tigers after they'd lost their previous two league fixtures against Saracens and Harlequins. The win over Northampton was their first home league win of the season after losing their first two of the season to leaders Sale Sharks and Harlequins.

Newcastle Falcons are having a miserable season. All seven of their English Premiership fixtures this season have all ended in defeat. Just four points have been earned and that has left them seven points adrift at the bottom of the table and eight off a place in next season's European Rugby Champions Cup. Last weekend saw the Falcons beaten 20-14 at home by Exeter Chiefs. That was a disappointing defeat as they had led 14-8 at half time. On the road this season, Newcastle have lost all three of their league games and conceding 114 points. At least 40 points have been conceded in each of their last two away fixtures. Another loss is on its way and we go for Leicester to win and defy a -20.5 points handicap.
