Leicester Tigers are eighth in the English Premiership and host league leaders Bath Rugby. They are in the final European Rugby Champions Cup qualifying position with a six point lead over ninth placed Gloucester. There's an eight point gap between them and Exeter Chiefs who currently occupy the final play-off position. That gap was widened last weekend when the Tigers lost at Exeter (who have won all their home league games) 29-10. That loss ended a run of three consecutive wins in the English Premiership. They'd had impressive wins over Northampton Saints, Gloucester and then a 47-3 home win over bottom-of-the-table Newcastle Falcons. Home form for Leicester in the English Premiership started with a couple of losses but their last two at home have both been won.

Bath Rugby lead the table by a point from Sale Sharks after winning six of their nine league games this season. Their most recent match saw them beat Harlequins 25-17 at home. That was their second sucessive league victory following up on a home win over Exeter Chiefs. Four of their last five league fixtures have ended in victory, the other was an away loss at Sale by 11 points to nine. While four out of five at home have been won by Bath, they have won twice and lost two games on the road with defeats at Northampton and Sale. Bath may be top of the table but an away trip to Leicester is never easy and we go for a home win here.
