Boulter could regain her British number one ranking from Emma Raducanu this week. A third straight Nottingham Open title would also see her climb from 39th into the top 32 and be seeded at the upcoming Wimbledon Grand Slam.
The 23-year-old lost in round two at Queen's Club last week, being beaten by world number 12 Diana Shnaider. This week started well with a win over 2024 Wimbledon semi-finalist Lulu Sun with only four games being lost.
