Karen Khachanov vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Monte Carlo Masters

We have an all-Russian affair in the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters. Karen Khachanov is the 15th seed in this outdoor clay court Masters 1000 event with Medvedev seeded fourth. Up next for the winner will be a last eight match against either fifth seed Alexander Zverev or 12th seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas. Khachanov is up to 17th in the live rankings and has won one tournament this year. That was on the hard courts of Doha but he also has a good clay court record.  Twice he's made it to the Roland Garros quarterfinals but a win here will see him get to the last eight in Monte Carlo for the first time. He's had two tough matches so far in this tournament. Round one saw him take 144 minutes to get past Cameron Norrie in straight sets. Round two was also difficult with him having to come from a set down to knock out Francisco Cerundolo.

Daniil Medvedev has an excellent record against Khachanov. He leads him 5-1 in previous meetings and has won the last four. It was 2018 when Khachanov last beat Medvedev but this is the first time they've met on clay. Medvedev is fourth in the latest rankings but second in the ATP Live Race. The 28-year-old has reached at least the semifinals in each of the four tournaments he's played this year with two runner-up spots. Medvedev got to the last eight here in 2023 and five years ago reached the semifinals. This is his first clay court tournament of the year and he began with a straight sets win over wild card Gael Monfils. We tip him to beat Khachnov.
