Paolini defeated Ostapenko in their only encounter which was on hard court in Burnie. She hasn't been fully comfortable on the surface, registering a 10-10 record so far. Paolini has won 30 of the 53 matches she has played in 2023 and is currently ranked 35th in the live ranking.
