The Autumn International Tests are here, and kicking off the action will be Japan taking on New Zealand at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama. The Brave Blossoms are currently 14th in the World Rugby Rankings while the All Blacks are third. Check out our match prediction below.
Japan come into the Autumn Tests off the back of a heartbreak, having lost to Fiji 41-17 in the final of the Pacific Nations Cup last month.
Earlier in the competition, the Brave Blossoms beat Canada (55-28), USA (41-24), and Samoa (49-27), taking their record to four wins and six losses in their last 10 games.
On home soil, Eddie Jones’ side have lost four of their last five matches with their only win in that time coming against the Maori All Blacks back in July.
Meanwhile, New Zealand also suffered disappointment last month when they were forced to relinquish the Rugby Championship title to South Africa.
The All Blacks conceded a shock defeat to Argentina in their opening match of the Southern Hemisphere heavyweights and also lost both matches against the Springboks.
Over their last 10 games, Scott Robertson’s men now have a record of six wins and four losses. However, they have never been beaten by Japan in five previous meetings.

Our Japan vs New Zealand Prediction
While New Zealand are worthy favourites heading into this match, the set handicap seems a little unfair to Japan given the progress they have made over the last few months.
Additionally, Scott Robertson has announced a very youthful-looking squad for this match, and with humid conditions expected in Yokohama this weekend, it will be interesting to see how the young All Blacks fare on enemy territory. Our Japan vs New Zealand prediction: Japan +33.5!
