Italy vs USA Prediction & Betting Tips - Davis Cup

An injury hit Italian team have a tough Davis Cup quarter final against the USA. The winner of this tie will take on either Germany or Canada in the semi-finals. Italy are without both Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini for this quarter final. Those are two massive players to lose and it reduces their chances of beating the USA. Their top singles player will now be Lorenzo Musetti, who is the current world number 23. He's been in good form recently with a couple of semi-finals and a title win in Naples. The Italian number two will be world number 56 Fabio Fognini. The only time he's reached at least the last eight of a tournament this year, it's been in a clay court tournament. Recently in the Paris Masters, he lost in the qualifiers to Arthur Fils (ranked 308th at the time). He then got into the main draw as a lucky loser and took on Fils again, this time beating him in three sets. 

The USA haven't won the Davis Cup for 15 years. They have a strong line-up this year and are worthy favorites to win this quarter final. Their top player is Taylor Fritz, who won the Indian Wells title this year. He reached the last four in the ATP Tour Finals last week and is ranked ninth in the world. The other singles player for the USA is Frances Tiafoe, who got to the US Open semi-finals this year. Their squad also includes Tommy Paul and doubles players Jack Sock (43rd in the doubles rankings). Go for the USA to win this.
